GFC Therapy: Pioneering Non-Surgical Treatment

At Dr. Apoorv Dua’s Clinic, we bring you GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) Therapy, a cutting-edge, non-surgical treatment designed to repair and rejuvenate bones and joints. This innovative therapy harnesses the body’s natural growth factors to promote healing, reduce pain, and restore mobility.

For decades, it has been known that platelets contain powerful growth factors like PDGF (Platelet-derived Growth Factor), TGF-β (Transforming Growth Factor), and VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor), which play a vital role in tissue regeneration and repair. However, the challenge has always been in effectively extracting and activating these growth factors.

This is where GFC Therapy excels. With its proprietary in vitro platelet activation system, GFC Therapy offers superior results compared to traditional treatments like PRP. By utilizing your body’s own growth factors, GFC Therapy provides a safe, natural, and effective solution for conditions like arthritis, joint pain, and sports injuries.

Benefits of GFC Therapy

No Platelet Loss | High Concentration of Growth Factors | Naturally Regenerates Damaged Tissue

With GFC therapy, you experience the benefits of no platelet loss, ensuring that the full potential of your body’s natural growth factors is preserved. This treatment uses a high concentration of growth factors, carefully extracted and activated to promote optimal healing and rejuvenation. By tapping into your body’s own healing power, GFC therapy naturally regenerates damaged tissue, stimulating collagen production and encouraging cellular repair.

GFC therapy is completely safe, as it is derived from the patient’s own blood, eliminating any risk of allergic reactions or rejection. The treatment uses a 100% autologous process, meaning there are no foreign substances involved, ensuring that the growth factors are fully compatible with the individual’s body. Prepared in a sterile environment, GFC therapy is contamination-free, providing an extra layer of safety and minimizing any chance of infection. This advanced process ensures that all components remain pure and natural, harnessing the body’s innate healing power for optimal, risk-free results.

GFC therapy is designed to fit seamlessly into your busy schedule with a lunchtime procedure that requires minimal downtime. The entire process is quick and efficient, allowing you to get back to your daily activities without disruption. The preparation of GFC is easy, rapid, and highly consistent, ensuring that each treatment is of the highest quality. The blood is drawn, processed, and activated in a streamlined manner, allowing for maximum growth factor concentration and optimal therapeutic benefits. This ensures consistent results with each session, providing a reliable and hassle-free experience.

GFC therapy represents the latest and most innovative advancement in regenerative medicine. Developed through cutting-edge research and clinical studies, this therapy incorporates the most recent scientific breakthroughs in growth factor technology. It has been carefully researched and formulated in India, utilizing world-class medical expertise and high standards of practice. What sets GFC apart is that it is produced in an FDA-approved facility, ensuring that every step of the process adheres to the highest safety and quality standards. This rigorous development process ensures the therapy’s efficacy and safety, making it a trusted choice for those seeking non-surgical solutions for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and tissue repair.

GFC therapy utilizes a single-step closed system for the extraction and activation of growth factors, ensuring that the entire process is both efficient and sterile. This closed system minimizes the risk of contamination, maintaining the highest level of safety throughout the treatment. Additionally, the therapy is non-pyrogenic, meaning there is no risk of introducing harmful fever-causing substances, further ensuring a safe and comfortable treatment experience. What sets GFC apart is its precision in eliminating unwanted red blood cells (RBCs) and white blood cells (WBCs) during the preparation process. This ensures that the final product is pure and concentrated with only the essential growth factors, maximizing the regenerative potential of the therapy.

One of the key advantages of GFC therapy is its optimal stability. Once prepared, GFC can be safely stored for up to 8 hours at room temperature, maintaining its effectiveness and potency during the treatment window. This flexibility allows for convenient scheduling, without compromising on the quality of the therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions About Knee Replacement

What is GFC Therapy

GFC therapy helps to rebuild and strengthen the affected joint, potentially reducing pain and improving overall joint function.

How long does GFC last?

Is GFC treatment permanent? GFC treatment is not permanent but results are very long-lasting. You may need just a single additional treatment every 2-3 months to maintain results but Dr. Apoorv will devise a timetable for you to ensure maximum results are achieved. Is GFC treatment effective?

How to prepare growth factor concentrate?

Blood is collected and mixed in GFC tubes, allowed to stand for 30 minutes which releases growth factors like PDGF, VEGF, EGF, and IGF-1 from the platelets. After centrifugation for approximately 10 minutes, GFC is collected and used on the desired part of the skin.

How many GFC sessions are needed?

To achieve the best results, it’s typically recommended to undergo 3 to 4 sessions of GFC therapy, keeping approximately 30-45 days gap between each session, followed by booster sessions every 2-3 months.

What precautions should be taken before GFC treatment?
  • Avoid aspirin and blood thinners for 48-72 hours before the procedure.
  • Refrain from narcotic drug consumption 48-72 hours prior to GFC treatment.
  • Consult your doctor for any required blood tests.
  • Prepare for the application of an anesthetic cream 30-45 minutes before the treatment.

Dr Apoorv Dua was incredibly helpful in helping me resolve a wrist issue that had been plaguing me for almost a year. I went to multiple doctors and was still in constant pain, but Dr Dua recommended a conservative treatment that helped resolve the problem while avoiding more invasive alternatives like steroid injections or surgery. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable, and I’m super grateful for his guidance and support. I would highly recommend him to anyone facing similar orthopedic issues!

I went here for an X-ray of my lower back and had an unprofessional and unethical experience.1. The x-ray technician seemed inexperienced and even after doing it 3 times the film was blurred2. The dr saw the film and verbally told me there's no problem however when the report came 2 days later it said partial lumbar lordosis loss and some osteophytes.3. The clinic held back our reports and refused to give it to us stating that the reporting person was on leave. This wasn't conveyed to us when we went for x-ray. Report was sent to us 2 days later after fighting and threatening to report them in consumer court. It was just an extremely unethical behaviour. Will not recommend it at all.
